In November 2013 the London Evening Standard released an article on 124 teenage deaths since 2007, the youngest teenagers being 14 years old.

As a response to this newspaper article Christian produced three shorts films 'Just another statistic', 'A waste of young lives' and 'Behind closed doors' alongside with an installation and audio 'Who's to blame?'.

Christian considers personal experience within her social environment, specifically drawing from gang culture and teenage deaths. The use of text and poetry is used throughout these pieces so that the audience can understand the environment of the scenes used.
