Fascinated by mankind's ability to disregard the life and slaughter of an animal when consuming meat in our culture today, my current practice investigates the treatment of (and our attitudes towards) the animal as a living creature and the animal as meat. 

Rather than employing shock tactics and using disturbing imagery regarding the animals' slaughter, I have conscientiously produced work to act as a trigger of realisation. The intention of the work is to have the viewer consider their relationship with, and appreciation of the food they eat - as it is and as it once was - the animal.
